It was held in Madrid on Friday 9 April, and was attended by delegations from various European countries and human rights activists in the Occupied Territories and members of AFAPEDRESA.
The conclusions of the meeting focused on:
1 .- The complaint of the violation of human rights by the government of Morocco in the occupied territories of Western Sahara, where torture, illegal detentions, attacks on civilians by police Saharan Moroccan settlers are disguised causing a dangerous situation of violence and tension. In particular the assaults is reported few days ago by delegations of activists who have visited the refugee camps.
2 .- Show solidarity with the Saharawi prisoners on hunger strike and demand the immediate release of 55 activists that Morocco has jailed and tortured in their jails. In a special way to show concern for the status of the five prisoners on hunger strike subject to military jurisdiction.
3 .- Make a call to the massive presence of international observers, institutional and human rights defenders to visit the Occupied Territories and the Saharawi population to express their solidarity and support to their just demands and the denunciation of the repression of Human Rights, the Moroccan government has done with impunity in the territory.
4 .- Require the United Nations and the European Union to exert pressure on the government of Morocco to the cessation of repression of human rights, freedom of all Saharawi political prisoners, ending the plundering of natural resources The overriding conclusion of the referendum on self with all the options, allowing the Sahrawi people to freely decide their future.
