Release of three prisoners of the G-7

Yesterday May 18, the Moroccan military court is investigating the Group of 7, has proceeded to put on probation for three of the prisoners, keeping the other three in prison.

Saleh Labihi, Rachid Sghayer and Yahdih Etaruzi left the prison at half past six p.m. local time (1730 GMT) with the Saharawi typical dress and a small sign that read, "Free Sahara", which officers deployed at the entrance tried to avoid showing.

Temporarily admitted to another militant's house and accompanied by some of their relatives, they told reporters that his victory will not be complete until the release of his three other companions who were arrested with them last October at the Airport Casablanca. Still held in prison remain President of the Sahrawi Association of Victims of Grave Human Rights (ASVDH) Brahim Dahan, vice president of CODESA, Salem Tamek Ali and Ahmed Nasiri.
The so-called "Group of Seven" (which stood at six after the release of activist Degja Lachgar for health reasons) is accused of having made contact with "hostile parties" to the country, that is, with senior
Algerian military security.
His first four months in prison, after eight days in the Judicial Police station of Casablanca, four of them "blindfolded", were in groups of two, "totally isolated from the outside world, no calls or visits , malnourished, abused and insulted by prison guards. "
The six decided to start a hunger strike to demand a fair trial or unconditional release, and ended the protest on 27 April, after 41 days of fasting, for the "compromise to resolve their situation."
His release has been possible thanks to international pressure of the solidarity movement, and should continue to achieve the total liberation of all Saharawi political prisoners in Moroccan prisons and respect for human rights in the occupied territories of Western Sahara.
