Tiznit, July 13, 2009 (SPS) - The Saharawi political prisoners incarcerated in the prison of Tiznit (Morocco) decided Friday to launch an indefinite hunger strike, protesting against the prison authorities’ failing to meet their commitment to improve the conditions of imprisonment, said a source of the ministry of the occupied territories and Migration.
The strike comes after the authorities refused to meet the legitimate claims of those prisoners of conscience, including the isolation of prisoners of common rights and improving conditions and ill treatment, they subjected to inside the prison, according to the same source.
They are Moustapha Abd Dayem, M'ghaimima Brahim Khalil, Moujahdi Abdel Jalil, Bouanani Mohamed, Al Hassan Mohamed, Lakhbaizi Hamadi, Veth Sid'Ahmed, Lehmam Salama, Aboulkassem Mahmoud. (SPS)
